Wind is a Basic Element in Elemental Battlegrounds released on December 5, 2016. Its color palette consists of transparent white. Its medal depicts three gusts of wind of different lengths.

Wind is a fast and strong Element, capable of many unique effects in battle. It can work fairly well at either close range or long range.

The Element costs 300 Diamonds.

Summary[]

Wind's speed is nearly unrivaled among other Elements, not because of the user's speed, but how it controls the opponents' speed. Knockback and stun is the most prevalent feature in every one of its Spells, with the user being able to control how opponents move, at the same time being able to alter their own movement in a variety of ways to ensure a tough opponent to face. Not only that, but each Spell even deals a decent amount of damage, and their ability to stun ensure multiple defensive strategies and escapes to keep a fight in your favor, or to adjust when it isn't. Furthermore, Wind Cannon and Wind Tornados go through solid objects, and can hit enemies hiding behind them, making them effective in small spaces such as the inside of the Light Map temple. However, Wind's greatest weakness is range, with Wind Tornados being somewhat slow, and Wind Cannon having an atrociously small range, many new Wind users will be without Spiral Spin to escape, as they need it to close the gap between enemies. Wind Ascend isn't the most reliable escape either without a Transportation Spell to use with it, as it only covers vertical distance. Finally, like Grass, using Inertia will stop Wind from causing mass chaos.

Note: Damage was tested with 50 Power on a player with 50 Defense.

Spells[]

Spells
Wind Cannon
Spell 1 Type Projectile
Spell 1 Description "User creates a spiral of wind that is short range but issues high damage."
Spell 1 Info The user shoots a short-ranged spiral of wind into the direction of the user's cursor's location, which can go through solid objects, block certain projectiles, and knock away enemies and deal 250 damage to them.
  • Consumes 250 Mana, and has a 5-second cooldown
Spell 1 Picture Wind Cannon
Wind Tornadoes
Spell 2 Type Multi-Projectile
Spell 2 Description "User shoots an increasing amount of tornadoes that each deal low damage."
Spell 2 Info The user shoots 3 waves of tornadoes (a total of 6 tornadoes) into the cursor's direction, which spread out from each other the further they travel, go through solid objects, block certain projectiles, and deal 100 damage per tornado to enemies that were hit, along with tripping them and knocking them around. The first wave shoots 1 tornado, the second wave shoots 2 tornadoes, and the third and last wave shoots 3 tornadoes. This Spell can be charged (although this seems to have no effect). The tornadoes can be aimed in any direction, but cannot be aimed upwards or downards. It's possible to damage the enemy with all 6 tornadoes if the user is close enough. These tornadoes all come out at different angles being:
  • Wave 1: 1x90 degree angle.
  • Wave 2: 1x78.75 degree angle, 1x101.25 degree angle.
  • Wave 3: 1x112.5 degree angle, 1x90 degree angle, 1x67.5 degree angle.
  • This Spell costs 125 Shards, consumes 300 Mana, and has a 7-second cooldown
Spell 2 Picture Wind Tornados
Wind Ascend
Spell 3 Type AoE
Spell 3 Description "'User creates an area of wind that damages opponents and launches themselves into the air."
Spell 3 Info The user blasts air around them and launches them high into the sky, stunning and doing 250 damage to nearby enemies, along with slightly knocking them away.
  • Costs 150 Shards, consumes 350 Mana, and has a 6-second cooldown

Spell 4 Info The user surrounds themselves with a spiral of air and quickly dashes into the cursor's direction, along with slowing their fall. The user can control the direction they're moving in by using their cursor. Hitting an enemy with this Spell will cause a small explosion, tripping and doing 250 damage to them, but this will also immediately end the Spell, stopping the user from traveling any further. Charging the Spell will increase its duration, allowing the user to travel further. This Spell also has trouble going up slopes.
  • Costs 175 Shards, consumes 300 Mana, and has an 8-second cooldown

The Ultimate will deal less damage the shorter the time the enemies have stayed within range. The Ultimate also cannot be cancelled the moment it has been cast, even if the user dies.
  • Costs 250 Shards, consumes 1000 Mana, and has an 85-second cooldown
Spell 5 Picture Wind Gust

Trivia[]

  • Wind was initially a Common Fusion Element of Fire and Water, though this was changed a day after Elemental Battlegrounds was released.
    • This makes it the only element to ever have its fusion changed after release, and also the only element to ever be a fusion of two starter elements.
  • Wind Cannon and Wind Tornadoes can be used as a counter to Great Fire Blast as it will cause the fireball to dissipate upon contact since air can burn off fire. It will also push the opponent away from the user if they are close enough.
  • Wind Cannon can knock players around in a Safe Zone, and can possibly knock them out of one, damage will not be dealt. (Please note that using spells to pull or push players away from safezones is no longer possible with the exception of specific spells.)

but it is less effective.

  • Wind is the first and currently only Element which has a typo in one of its Spell names that has not been fixed. (Citation needed)
