Storm is a Basic Element in Elemental Battlegrounds. Its color palette consists of light neon blue. Its medal depicts multiple lightning bolts.

Storm is a fast Element, consisting of hard to dodge Spells and projectiles. It can be used either at close range or from a distance.

This Element costs 300 Diamonds.

Summary[]

Storm is a very fast and powerful Element with the capability to shut down any combo or escape from any situation. With all but 2 of its Spells having the ability to stun players, Storm can quickly stop attacks, and provide quick escapes without even using its Transportation Spell. Its raw power is also decent, and consistent stunning will give a Storm user the one up in any encounter. Coupled with a quick, cheap Transportation Spell with only a 4 second cooldown, this Element will confuse opponents and grant users joy once they learn the proper way to use it. However, like Wind, this Element lacks effective range, and while Lightning Flash can close the gap, smart opponents will quickly either move out with their own Transportation Spell or use the 4 second window to quickly burst you down. The Ultimate is unable to target opponents at a distance, and Lightning Bolt has a short delay before being cast and short range. The range of Lightning Dispersion is small enough to flip out of and it has a very dramatic start-up to give anyone an indication of what you are trying to do. Nevertheless, Storm is a very fun and fast Element that when mastered, will shut down each and everything an opponent has worked for.

Note: Damage was tested with 50 Power on a player with 50 defense.

Tactics[]

  • Lightning Bolt issues an impressive stun if it hits and it has some fairly forgiving area damage.
    • It is advisable to employ a spell with a medium or large area of effect after casting the spell. This is because the adversary might stumble and sway, potentially interfering with the success rate of a subsequent spell with a small area of effect.
  • Lightning Flash can serve as a rapid evasion spell, allowing for the avoidance of spells within a short-to-moderate range.
  • You cannot use Lightning Dispersion while airborne, however, you can drop down and surprise opponents by using it once you hit the ground. If the lightning effect remains, the spell retains its ability to stun adversaries.
  • Lightning Barrage is swift in execution and effective in targeting both lower and higher-positioned adversaries. Additionally, it delivers decent damage to opponents.
    • It should be noted that this particular spell is ineffective in areas that have ceilings, such as the Pyramid at Light Map.
  • It is recommended to utilize Transportation Spells to evade the range of Lightning Extermination, which has considerable damage and satisfactory reach. Despite possessing a passable stun capability, the caster becomes susceptible to other abilities.

Trivia[]

  • Lightning Bolt behaves similarly to a spell of the same name in Arcane Adventures.
  • Storm is one of the Elements in the game to use the same word in all of its Spell names, the others being Water, Plasma, and Reaper.
  • Storm is one of the six Elements that doesn't have a swirl in their medals, the other five being Darkness, Phoenix, Illusion, Technology, and Sans.
  • Storm's medal is the same medal as the Thunder God Element from Elemental Wars.
    • Storm in Elemental Wars was called Lightning and its medal was originally yellow.
  • Storm's Lightning Barrage is one of the five Spells that creates more than one of its Element's medal when cast, the others being Spectrum's Rainbow Shockwave, Void's Oblivion, Explosion's Concentrated Blast, and Technology's Vortex Bomb (though the second symbol is only visible to the user).
  • Although the Element's name is Storm, its Spells are better suited for a Lightning Element.
