Sound is a Basic Element in Elemental Battlegrounds. Its colour palette consists of pink, bright red, light blue, yellow, and grey. Its medal depicts an eighth note, or quaver.

Sound has many Spells that can be used in multiple types of situations, such as a Shielding Spell that can be used to stun nearby enemies and block enemy projectiles from above and below, a Projectile Spell that can switch between 3 different modes to fit different circumstances, and a Body Transformation Spell that can be used to prevent enemies from using their Transportation Spell and drain their Stamina. They are also effective at close to medium range, but have high Mana costs and deal low damage.

This Element costs 350 Diamonds. It was formerly free during the official Battle Arena event, where you would have to complete three tasks from the Master of Sound to receive the Element.

Note: Damage was tested with 50 power on a player with 50 Defense.

SONAR Quake
Spell 1 Type Shielding
Spell 1 Description "User can charge a fast moving sonar pulse that will stun enemies, block their projectiles, and even heal you if a ring reaches back to you."
Spell 1 Info Releases a red sound wave that surrounds the user and stuns nearby enemies that were hit by it, along with doing 30 damage (or 60 damage if fully charged) and applying burn damage that deals 16 damage over time. Enemies that are hit by the sound wave will also release a harmless sound wave that can heal the user 34 Health (or 68 Health if fully charged) if it reaches back to them. Charging the Spell will increase its damage, range, and the Health returned to the user. The damage the sound waves deal and the Health they can return is affected by distance, doing less damage to enemies and healing the user less Health the further they are from them. The Spell can deal a maximum total of about 62 damage (or 92 damage if fully charged) at minimum range. The sound wave released by the user can also block enemy projectiles that are above and below the wave.
  • Consumes 300 Mana, and has a 6-second cooldown.

Spell 2 Description "User casts a string of vibrations that the user controls the destination of after they are already in the air."
Spell 2 Info Fires 6 chained projectiles into the air which then quickly move to the user's cursor's location, exploding upon impact and doing 55 damage per projectile to enemies within the explosion radius. The cooldown only starts when the projectiles either explode or reach their maximum range.
  • Costs 233 Shards, consumes 350 Mana, and has a 6-second cooldown.

Spell 3 Description "User gets 3 options of blasts that either stun players with a shock, burn them with fire, or damage and move them around with the POW-star option."
Spell 3 Info The user can charge the Spell to switch between 3 different types of blasts that deal a different amount of damage and apply a different effect: A red fireball, a cyan lightning bolt, or a yellow POW-Star. The damage they can deal and effects they can apply are:
  • Fireball - Deals 131 damage and inflicts a burn effect that deals damage over time, doing 66 damage initially, and then ending at 44 damage, doing 110 damage from the burn effect overall. This blast can deal 241 damage in total.
  • Lightning bolt - Deals 125 damage and trips the enemy.
  • POW-Star - Damages the enemy multiple times, doing 280 damage overall, along with knocking them around. The number of hits delivered and the damage each hit deals is random, either damaging the enemy twice, doing 187 damage from the first hit and 93 damage from the second hit, or damaging the enemy thrice, doing 153 damage from the first hit, 76 damage from the second hit, and 51 damage from the third and last hit. However, the damage it deals overall is always the same. This blast can only affect one enemy.

Charging the Spell in the air will slow the user's fall, and will lock them in place for a very short period when they've stopped charging. The blasts explode upon impact, but can also deal damage and apply their effects to enemies that get too close to them. The fireball projectile and lightning bolt projectile are also capable of passing through enemies, and will only explode when they either collide with a solid object or reach their maximum range.

  • Costs 377 Shards, consumes 325 Mana, and has an 8-second cooldown.

Spell 4 Description "User debilitates and drains stamina from enemies within the sound waves, as long as the enemies are inside."
Spell 4 Info Emits several sound waves from the user that will drain 11 Stamina from nearby enemies over time (draining 22 Stamina per second), as well as disabling their ability to use their Transportation Spell. The Spell lasts for 25 seconds.
  • Costs 610 Shards, consumes 450 Mana, and has a 60-second cooldown.

Spell 5 Description "User can charge up rings of sound that lay their mark on enemies while the user fires a strong blast that attempts to seek out all of the opponents in its radius."
Spell 5 Info The user summons a large pink ring (which can increase in size by charging the Spell) that will mark enemies that are within it. After the user has stopped charging, they will fire a huge pink blast that will home in on the marked enemies and deal 400 damage to each one, before it creates a massive explosion after all marked enemies have been hit. If there are no enemies that have been marked, the user will fire the blast into the direction of their cursor's location.
  • Costs 987 Shards, consumes 1000 Mana, and has a 90-second cooldown.

  • The previous songs Shockwave Halo used to play are the following:
    • "Roselita", by APM Music (removed and recently re-added).
    • "Trance", by 009 Sound System Dreamscape (first published song, prior to its replacement due to copyright issues).
    • USSR Anthem, by Alexander Alexandrov (while testing Sound in Testing Standard).
  • Shockwave Halo is the second Body Transformation Spell that has a 60-second cooldown, the first being Rock Armor.
  • Shockwave Halo is currently the only Body Transformation Spell that can drain an enemy's stamina. It is also the second Spell in the game that has this ability, the first being Spectrum's Rainbowifier Maximizer.
  • While Sound was being tested in Testing Standard, Howling Chain used to follow the user's cursor, similarly to Plasma Missiles.
  • Sound is the only Element that could have been obtained through a quest.
    • Sound is also the first Element to be featured in a sponsored Roblox event.
  • SONAR Quake is the only Spell that has one of the words in its name in all caps.
  • The Master of Sound accompanied this element in a Roblox Event, which when finishing Sound Master's quest you will receive the Sound element for free.
  • Ultra-Sonic Wail is the first Spell to have a dash (-) between words in its name, the second being Space-Time Rupture.
  • Sound originally costed 500 Diamonds before its price was lowered to 350 Diamonds.
  • SONAR Quake used to create two sonar pulses in Testing Standard.
    • It was later nerfed to make Sound less powerful.
  • Ultra-Sonic Wail is the first chargeable Ultimate in the game, the second being Solar's Unmatched Power of the Sun.
  • Echoes is the first Spell that allows the user to choose between multiple options, the second being Technology's Light Disc, and the third being Creation's Continuous Strikes.
  • Sound is the first Element to have its medal made before it was put in development.
  • Shockwave Halo is the first Body Transformation Spell that plays music.
    • Shockwave Halo is the second Spell in the game that plays music, the first being Polaris.
  • The hieroglyphs inside the pyramid on the Light map can be found on SONAR Quake's red ring when charging it.
  • Before Sound was released, a move from a certain Element was leaked; that move was Howling Chain.
  • Sound is currently the only Basic Element that cannot be fused with another Element.
  • The sound of Ultra-Sonic Wail's explosion was taken from the cartoon Teen Titans Go of the Special Miniseries "The Day the Night Stopped Beginning to Shine and Became Dark Even Though it Was the Day" also known as "The Night Begins to Shine".
  • Sound is the first element to summon chains, the second being Creation.
  • Sometimes, the blast from Ultra-Sonic Wail will be summoned underground.
  • Echoes's spell options could be a reference to different music types.
