Solar is a Superior Element / Fusion Element in Elemental Battlegrounds. Its color palette features a shiny gold-like tint and a bright-to-deep red gradient tone. Its medal features a burning sun with a spiral within it, which appears to be "releasing" its sun rays.
This element is obtained by fusing Space (2050 Diamonds) and Lava (450 Diamonds), as well as an extra 2022 Diamonds to fuse, for a total of 4522 Diamonds, exceeding Angel as the most costly element in the game.
Summary[]
Solar is a formidable offensive Element in combat. Its spells can quickly drain an opponent's Health. However, these spells are costly in terms of Mana and have slow casting times. To maximize effectiveness, conserve mana and focus on precise, high-impact attacks.
Spells like Double Ray and Dying Star have a decent range and area of effect, but they are also the most mana-intensive and should be used sparingly. The most effective way to use Solar is to get close to enemies and unleash powerful spells at point-blank range. Solar is fairly effective at dealing with most elements but high-speed ones such as Acid, Creation, Technology or Angel can evade its spells with relative ease. Nonetheless, Solar is still very dangerous and not to be underestimated.
Spells | |
---|---|
Double Ray | |
Spell 1 Type | Projectile |
Spell 1 Description | "Drown your enemies in flames with a rapid burning beam and follow up with a second explosive ray, leaving them to burn." |
Spell 1 Info | The user charges two large beams in the direction they are facing, with the first beam lining up and locking players, and the second launching the enemies back while delivering moderate burn damage. Combined, the two beams deal 87 damage twice and 167 damage, as well as 101 burn damage over time, and their characters emit a smoke effect. If the attack is landed successfully, it can deal up to 660 damage.

Dying Star | |
Spell 2 Type | Multi-Projectile |
Spell 2 Description | "Form a burning sun that fires several condensed beams, followed by its own destruction." |
Spell 2 Info | The user summons a massive glowing sphere, akin to a star above them, which fires seven beams of energy towards the cursor, dealing low damage to enemies that are hit. Each player is also surrounded by an unseen sphere which causes the beams to automatically latch onto the player if they are inside the radius of the spell. The orb is then shot in the direction of the cursor, causing a large explosion that deals lots of burn damage followed by a large amount of burst damage. This spell alone deals up to around 893 damage.

Sun's Iris | |
Spell 3 Type | AoE |
Spell 3 Description | "Create a small sun above you that constantly damages people nearby and blinds those who look at it." |
Spell 3 Info | The user summons a tiny star above their heads, which follows them for 15 seconds. This star inflicts serious burn damage to surrounding players and their screens become red. It’ll cover more of their screens the closer they are. The biggest disadvantage of this spell is that it damages the user.

Sun's Embrace | |
Spell 4 Type | Healing |
Spell 4 Description | "Harness the power of the sun to increase your passive mana, health, and stamina regen. However, with a cost." |
Spell 4 Info | The user begins accumulating energy from the sun, and after they have finished charging, an explosion forms, delivering moderate damage to themselves but enhancing health, mana, and stamina restoration. The effect duration varies depending on the charge time, but it remains active for around 7 seconds at least. While the effect is active, light pulses may be observed emerging from the user. This spell cannot kill the player as it just reduces them down to 15 HP at the minimum.

Unmatched Power of the Sun | |
Spell 5 Type | Ultimate |
Spell 5 Description | "Create a sun that entraps victims within a spiraling cage of fire following up with a devastating explosion." |
Spell 5 Info | Upon activation, the user can pick a spot for the spell to be cast. From the chosen point, a blazing and symbol will sprout of the ground and a massive star appears, which fires multiple beams out of the ground that encloses a large region. The beams then spin and contract, drawing all adjacent players towards the core of the circle, inflicting constant burn damage. When the beams become one, they deal even more burn damage followed by a massive explosion, dealing 550 damage to the imprisoned players and launches them into the distance.

Trivia[]
- Solar is currently the most expensive element, Angel being the second.
- It also has the most expensive fusion, costing 2022 Diamonds.
- Double Ray seems to be a reference to "Flame Breathing Ninth Form: Rengoku" from Demon Slayer.
- Solar is the third element to have its spell descriptions written in second person, the first being Phoenix and the second is Creation.
- Dying Star uses the most mana out of any non-ultimate spell.
- Dying Star uses the most Mana out of all the Multi Projectile Spells in the game, using 200 mana more than Rainbowfier Maximizer.
- Sun's Embrace is the first spell in the game that alters the regeneration of one's mana and stamina at the same time. However, it is the fourth spell to be able to affect mana or stamina in general, with the first three being Spectrum's Rainbowifier Maximizer, Chaos' Disorder Ignition, and Angel's Flash Slash.
- Sun's Embrace is also the first spell, let alone healing spell, which harms its own user.
- Sun's Embrace can be charged indefinitely.
- Despite the element's description stating it does burn damage to opponents, some of its spells' damage can still be reduced with a shielding spell or blocking.
- Sun's Iris has the longest cooldown out of all the AoE spells in the game.
- Solar is one of the seven Elements that alter other players' perspectives without blinding them, the others being Time, Aurora, Illusion, Dragon, Acid, and Nightmare.
- Unmatched Power of the Sun has the most words in its name of any Ultimate and Spell in the game, with Nature's Ultimate, Great Tree of Abolition coming in second.
- The fusion price of Solar is also mentioning the year where it was released.
- During development, Solar used to have a different AoE spell, on which the user selects an area, then punches the ground creating a large orange sphere to appear over the selected location giving the same visual effect as to Sun's Iris to nearby players. According to Norperz, the AoE was changed because "mutliple people being able to place gigantic blinding suns around the map would be awful".
- The video also shows what appears to be a scrapped visual effect resembling a red/orange/white disc.
- The Ultimate may have gotten its name from the Unmatched Power of The Sun meme.
- The move itself may also be a reference to Bill Wurtz's "history of the entire world, I guess", namely the portion where he says "the sun is a deadly lazer"
- The character of Solar's thumbnail is the same as that of Explosion's thumbnail.
- In slower devices, Unmatched Power of the Sun's animation is slower, leading the explosion to happen before the beam fades.
- Unmatched Power of the Sun is the second Ultimate spell that is chargeable, after Sound's Ultra-Sonic Wail.
- Solar is the first element to feature an adjective as its name.
- Contrary to popular belief, Solar is not very overpowered. This is due to the fact that it has long windups and high mana usage.
- When it was first released, Unmatched Power of the Sun had no cooldown. This was fixed shortly after.
- The healing spell can restore health in Safe Zones.
- Solar is the second element to be a Fusion of two fusion elements, Chaos is the first.
- Upon Solar's release, when you bought the element, your shards would be plunged into the decimals while the moves themselves costed decimals as well, which was most likely a technical error or something funny pulled by the developers.
- Explanation Behind the Fusion
- The Space element may suggest that the Sun is located in outer space as the theme and so it has fused with it, and the Lava element as the core part of the fusion because of the Sun's heat, thus creating the Solar element.
- This doesn't make much sense from a scientific point of view, as the Sun's surface is not made out of lava but hot plasma, which would make Plasma more suitable for the fusion than Lava.
- The Space element may suggest that the Sun is located in outer space as the theme and so it has fused with it, and the Lava element as the core part of the fusion because of the Sun's heat, thus creating the Solar element.
